Preparing to Film
Actors: In our film I will be playing the kidnapper. This role will be representing a teen living a double life style of a shy nerd, however, has a obsession with the second character, leading to the kidnapping. Abbi is playing the person getting kidnapped. This character plays the perfect teen that everyone wants to be. And Jonathan is playing the teen detective. This intelligent character uses his wit to find out the mystery of who took the young teen.
Costumes: Due to the 80's time period, we must all dress accordingly. I will have two different costumes to show the difference in personality. Abbi will dress as a young teen would when camping. And Jonathan, playing the artistic and smart teen will dress in loose fitting artistic clothing.
Props: With the time period, props are essential when making the time period come alive. For example we will need a alarm clock, old fashioned video camera, and even small aesthetics from the 80's time period. We hope to find these located at a local thrift store. The story will also require props to allow viewers to understand the stalkers obsession with the main character. This can be shown through pictures, clothing, and even hair from the main character.
Locations: The film will briefly show the kidnapping of the main character in the woods. The rest of the film will be filmed at school.
Dates and Time: The film is directed as a 80's film, specifically in 1984. In order to achieve and present this time period our group will visit local thrift shops and purchase items/clothing that will fit the theme. The kidnapping will occur during the night and the following morning at school the rest of the film will take place.
Scripts: The film will mainly show the dialog between the kidnapper and detective when discussing the event of their friend going missing.
Film Equipment: We will film using our phones, through the art of editing my group and I will edit the film in order to look as if it was filmed in the 80's time period with the same video quality.
